  • Letter to Glurg

    Mon 15 Jan 2018

We wrote our replied to Glurg, making sure we used interesting sentences and a range of punctuation.  Some of us even used colons.

    As your child to tell you some sentences like;

imagine - imagine a world where the blue seas sparkle, the green grass grown and beautiful birds sing: this is earth.

the more, the more - The more chocolate you eat, the more weight you gain.

pairs of adjectives - Scared and alone, trembling and crying, Mrs Foster took the rubbish to the bin.

  • Where in the Universe am I?

    Mon 15 Jan 2018

We had an interesting visitor to start off our new topic.  GLurg, who comes from a distant galaxy, came to Earth to visit.

He left a letter, footprints and a mess!

We will be learning lots about Earth and Space over this half term. Stay tuned to see what we discover.

  • Is the Earth flat or Spherical?

    Thu 11 Jan 2018
Wow! Upper school have blown us away today.
We have been learning about the Earth this week with our question of 'Is the Earth flat or Spherical?' We culminated our learning in a debate and both sides were very convincing.
Please ask your child to give you some points for both sides of the argument. Lots of points of views were swayed during our debate!
Well done for showing tolerance, maturity and being able to argue with wisdom.
  • Flag Challenge

    Wed 10 Jan 2018

    Here's a little extra challenge for Class7.

We now know that the colours of the Italian flag are Green, White and Red, but what other countries have those three colours in their flag as well?

Leave a comment below when you find a country that also has a green stripe, a white stripe and a red stripe in their flag.
