Writing

This week we are going to write our own version of an evolution story based on Moth.

We are taking each section a day, so that we have time to include all the technical and grammatical features they need to have, and we have time to edit our work.

Today we are writing our opening.

Below is a blank plan to refresh your memory, as well as the technical features we would like you to include. There is also the checklist for editing too, as well as the Year 5/6 words (include at least 3 per day).

If you need any reminders, look at the writing for the past two weeks to help.

Don't forget to upload onto Dojo.

Year 5 Maths

Year 5 - Understand thousandths

Year 6 Maths

Year 6 Shapes - same area

This is "Spr6.8.1 - Shapes - same area" by White Rose Maths on Vimeo, the home for high quality videos and the people who love them.

Reading

Today we are asking you to read for pleasure.  Make sure that you spend at least 20 minutes with your current book.

Apply the Reciprocal Reading strategies to it and

  1. read the first line and predict what the chapter will be about
  2. clarify any words you are not sure of
  3. write any question it makes you think of
  4. summarise what the story was about
