Writing

Today we are writing the build up of our story.

Again, I have attached the planning grid and the check list to help you.

Remember to start your sentences in different ways and include that relative clause.

Can you underline your Year 5/6 words too.

Year 5/6 spelling words

Year 5 Maths

Year 5 - Understand percentages

Year 6 Maths

Year 6 Area and perimeter

This is "Spr6.8.2 - Area and perimeter" by White Rose Maths on Vimeo, the home for high quality videos and the people who love them.

Reading

Today we are going to apply our Reciprocal Reading strategies to a text.

As we are reading Harry Potter, and most of you know the story, we will not Predict.

Read the text, then:

  • clarify - write any unfamiliar words and work out what they mean using clues from the text.
  • question - write any questions that it raises for you.
  • summarise - what has the text been about and what are the main points.

Enquiry/Curriculum

Science - Biology

Our enquiry today is looking at DNA!

Use the blank template at the start of the PowerPoint to record your characteristics, or draw your own DNA strand.  By the end of the session, you should know what DNA stands for! Impress those grown-ups at home!
