On the 28th November 2025, as part of Parliament Week, we were truly honoured to welcome our local MP, Michael Payne, to Porchester!

Michael had a detailed and fantastic tour led by our Pupil Leaders. In assembly, the children confidently presented their learning from Parliament Week. Then Michael spoke about his important role, how he supports our community in Gedling, and how this links to our British Values .

He also met with our Pupil Parliament team, answering their brilliant questions and sharing inspiring answers about life as a Member of Parliament.
