February 7, 2018: Meet the Mayor
Our Porchester Parliament members felt very privileged this morning during their visit to meet the Mayor in the council chambers. We learnt lots about what is involved in being a Mayor and we debated the topic of litter and recycling. We've come away with lots of ideas about how we can make an impact in our local community and further afield - watch this space...

January 21, 2014: Porchester litter patrol
Children at Porchester are starting to take responsibility for their own litter and to support this we have our own litter patrol. The children who volunteer for this responsibility are equipped with litter pickers and a hi-vis jacket. Well done to those involved for having such a positive attitude towards addressing this problem.

We would like to thank everybody who made cakes for the sale. And more inportantly we would like to point out that we have raised... £124.28! All of this money will be going towards the trim tail in the privelage area.

June 1, 2012: Mmmmmm. More cakes...
Due to overwhelming demand from the children, a second cake sale was held in school today. Many thanks to all the parents who baked, created, iced and packed at home at short notice. It is greatly appreciated.

February 10, 2012: Valentine's biscuit and cake sale
I am SO PROUD of the school council who have planned, organised, baked and ran their own cake stall today to help raise money for school funds. All of the goodies sold were presents for the children's loved ones for Valentine's Day. I was very impressed with how professional the biscuits and cakes were, obviously a lot of time and effort has been put into making them. They have worked brilliantly as a team to make their first event a tremendous success! So far they have made a whopping: £60.49 and still have some more treats to sell this afternoon. Billy, a school counciller, had this to say: "It's a good feeling to be able to raise money for the school" and our chairperson, Hadleigh said: "I am very proud how everyone has worked really well as a team". Could I also take this opportunity to thank everyone at home who have helped make this event a huge success :)
