October 21, 2014: Forensic science day
Catch the culprit Today the children became forensic scientists... A serious crime had been committed, someone had crept into Mr Cullen's office, drank his coffee and eaten his donuts. The culprit left behind some clues: finger prints; lip prints; bite marks; an apology letter and the pen that was used. A witness saw the culprit running away .... The children spent the day solving the case by using scientific techniques. Well done Children... You are amazing scientists :-) Posted with Blogsy

October 12, 2014: Harvest festival: this Wednesday
We are celebrating harvest festival with the children at St John's Methodist church on the morning Wednesday 15th October. Unfortunately we are not able to accommodate parents as there is insufficient room in the church. We hope to have a collection of produce on display in the church to emphasise the harvest message and would welcome donations. We have listed below some examples of suitable donations. Please do NOT send in perishable goods such as fruit and vegetables. Tins of food Sugar Pasta sauce Cereal (multipacks) Soup Pasta Fruit juice or milk (long life) Biscuits and treats … and any other non-perishable food items Please bring your donations into the school reception on Monday or Tuesday morning so we have plenty of time to take these to church. We are also supporting the Samaritan’s Purse Christmas Child appeal. If you wish to support this worthwhile cause please send your child in with their shoebox gift on the morning of Tuesday 15th October as children will be carrying these down to the church. You child should have already brought home a letter about this.

October 10, 2014: Bikeabilty
Just a quick reminder, it is Bikeabilty for year five and six next Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. The children have had a reminder letter of the day their Bikeabilty session is on. There have been a couple of changes of days due to the numbers. Please make sure the children have suitable outdoor coats as the weather can be unpredictable. I have had a couple of children come to me today requesting Bikeabilty letters as they have not brought their back. If there are spaces and the children have returned the signed consent form then we will try and accommodate them. Posted with Blogsy
