Here are our proud Role Models for this week: they have been a wonderful example to us all!

December 18, 2017: Merit Afternoon
On Friday afternoon, we did our final tally of merits for this term. Those of you that have received 200 merits will be attending the Merit afternoon treat tomorrow, well done. You have obviously worked exceptionally hard this term. For those of you that didn't quite get there, remember you still have the opportunity to attend next term's treat. Some of you were so close to 200, so I am sure you will be able to get there. As a staff, we are all really impressed with the number of merits you have all achieved. It really shows how fantastic all the children at Porchester are.

June 30, 2017: Aspiration Day and summer fair – Friday 30th June 2017
Wow, what an exciting day! The children looked brilliant in their ‘future career’ outfits. We had Doctors, military, a judge, a YouTuber, business men, florists and even a unicorn, to name but a few. The children chose to learn more about either: sport, catering, design, emergency services, ICT or construction. It was lovely to see the children all working together, all day to find out more about a chosen career. Our special visitors throughout the day really helped to inspire, motivate and open our children eyes to new careers out in the world. Thank you to all of you who shared your expertise and experiences with the children, and the staff. Everyone had a thought provoking day. Who knows what impact today will have had? We will have to wait and see. This year, instead of the big Summer Fare, a mini one was organised for the children. Thank you to everyone who supported school, coming and spending your hard earned money. A special thanks to Mrs. Bradshaw – who made cakes, sweets kebabs, sweet cups and organised the games and stalls. We really couldn’t have done it without her! Although much smaller than previous years, it was still perfectly formed.

May 25, 2017: The Wilson Shield
Well done to the children who participated in The Wilson Shield, at Hucknall Rolls Royce, this week A great afternoon had by all! We won one match, drew one match and lost two. 100% effort was shown by all the team. Many thanks to the parents who helped with transport and came to support the children.
