Information for our Year 6 leavers
Year Six leavers, please read this Important information about accessing the school website and Online Tools. As your education comes to an end at Porchester, your access to the school website will be changing. During August this year you will find that you are no longer able to access many of the learning resources. This will be because your usernames will be removed from our list of users. Other resources you will still be able to access, but not edit or amend. Below is a list of the changes that you will notice; Mathletics: Your account will be removed and access to all of the features in Mathletics no longer possible. Planet Sherston: Your account will be removed and access to all of the features in Planet Sherston no longer possible. PurpleMash: You will still be able to use a limited number of free activities, but access to most resources will no longer be possible. In addition you will not be able to save, or load, resources saved online within PurpleMash. Please download to your own computer any that you wish to keep.

eSafety poster competition winners
Congratulations to Adam, year 6 and Ellie, year 4 for winning the esafety poster competition. Both pupils have had their artwork printed into full size posters which will displayed around the school.They are both fab and promote an important message.

Young Person's Outstanding Contribution Award
Diabetes UK visited school on Friday to award E with a wonderful trophy for all her hard work and commitment in raising funds for this very worthwhile charity. CONGRATULATIONS E we're proud of you.

Good Luck Year 6!
This week is a really important week for our year sixes as they sit their SATS. They have all worked so hard and we are really proud of all the effort and hard work that they have put in. We know that they will all do the best that they can this week and do themselves proud as well. Mr Cullen

Welcome, Elsie Rose
A message from Mrs. Wright... Elsie Rose was born on Friday 29th April weighing 8lbs and 11ozs. Mr and Mrs Wright are delighted with their new arrival and Elliott loves being the doting big brother! Congratulations from everyone at the school, and we can't wait to see you soon.
April 29, 2016:
Members of our eco club harvested our stock of purple sprouting broccoli, Russian kale and chives this morning. Mr Merrill and Mrs Woodfield, our school chefs, expertly turned the vegetables into a delicious pasta dish which was thoroughly enjoyed by all the children.

Little Princess Trust fundraising
Freya in Year 3 is raising money for the Little Princess Trust. On 2nd April she will be having her lovely blonde locks cut off and will be donating her hair to be made into a wig for children who have lost their hair due to illness. The Little Princess Trust provides real hair wigs to boys and girls across the UK that have sadly lost their own hair through cancer treatment. http://www.littleprincesses.org.uk/ If you would like to donate to this very worthwhile cause please send in your donation in a sealed envelope marked ‘Little Princess Trust’.
