For Pupils Each class has it's own area - see the section list on the right of this screen. There is a pupil area, where pupils will be able to log into their ePortfolio's and record their work.
For Parents The Parents Information area is updated when required by Mr. Harrison with news that is relevant to parents and carers of the pupils. The school P.T.A. have a section where they post news about events they are running.
Interaction The whole website has been developed so that most of the information provided can be commented upon where appropriate by any visitor to any article. Please be aware that for children's safety, any comments will be held and moderated before appearing on the website.
Use RSS We've set up a variety of RSS feeds for those of you that know what they are and how they work. You can receive our regular text feeds, or receive an ehanced audio feed.

Use Twitter We have a school Twitter account (@porchester_jun) that automatically updates itself and posts a new tweet everytime a new article is added to the website. If you use Twitter, keep up to date with our latest news and articles through the popular micro-blogging service.
Podcasting The pupil podcast of the weeks news within school is updated during term time. Listen to the pupils themselves reporting on the latest events in school. Get the latest edition here or subscribe at iTunes here. Also, you can now find all the previous podcasts produced by the children in previous terms here.
Vodcasting Like podcasting, but with added images. Subscribe to see our Animoto slideshows, as well as video creations from the pupils, and video news. Subscribe to the Vodcast via iTunes.

Houses At Porchester Junior School we have a house system into which pupils are allocated. The four houses are;
Pupils can earn house points for hard work / excellent behaviour / appropriate attitudes and each week the class totals are added together to see which house has become the "House of the Week".
